Rudy Giuliani has run out of time to stall the Mueller investigation. His crazy interviews have no credence nor evidence. His constant fascination with seeing and hearing himself in the media confirm his flawed view of his own self-importance. Time to shut up Rudy!
The news media should no longer cover Trump’s rallies. It is getting more dangerous for members of media to be there. They aren’t newsworthy in the first place. Just a diatribe of vitriol, insults and falsehoods. Some idiot is going to literally take “enemy of people” and commit a serious crime
We are long past the point of giving the president the benefit of the doubt due to his inexperience in government. His consistent betrayal of the principles embedded in the Constitution erode the fiber of our democracy and make a sham of the institution of the presidency itself.
To justify the wall, he has made numerous outrageous claims about immigrants crossing the border to engender fear in his base. His political rallies have continued following his election and inauguration. Going into his harangue on Mexican immigrants produces chants of “Build the Wall” from his crowd of lemmings.
The Trump administration family separation policy, is part of its “zero tolerance” policy announced by Attorney General Jeff Sessions in April of this year. Under the policy, federal authorities separated children from their parents, relatives, or other adults who accompanied them in crossing the border, whether apprehended during an illegal crossing or, in numerous reported cases, legally presenting themselves for asylum.
There is a reason the average voter turnout in the 2018 general election in United States will be 40% of eligible voters, by a couple of percentage points more or less. There is a reason voter approval ratings of Congress are somewhere in the low teens. If a candidate and their supporters want to win their election, this strategy needs to be employed by the campaign in my humble opinion.
Trump is no patriot. According to Webster “The word patriot signifies a person who loves his or her country and is ready to boldly support and defend it.” Trump hardly is supportive of our intelligence community, the FBI, the CIA, the Department of Justice and members of his own administration who are trying to defend this nation against all enemies both foreign and domestic.
In view of these indictments, despite calls by members of Congress and former members of the intelligence community, for the president to cancel his summit meeting with Valdemar Putin, he nonetheless has chosen to proceed to the summit. Exactly what the president will say to Putin will be unknown to the American public because the only persons in the meeting s will be two translators.
I don’t know what hearing Rudy was watching but it must not have been the same one everyone else was. I doubt Rudy could have stayed awake long enough to watch nearly ten hours of testimony. He probably just picked up his talking points from the White House communication folks and proceeded to frantically spin their garbage
Making demands of the Special Counsel may look and sound good to the president and his sycophants, but in the end, Mueller isn’t going to respond to Rudy’s demands. He will keep his head down and plow ahead with more charges and indictments.
